Dariusz Przybylski

Dariusz Przybylski

(*1984)

Composer, organist and pedagogue. His compositions constitute fascinating narratives boiling over with intense emotions, an effect he achieves through stark contrast. Despite his emotional fervor, Przybylski never loses sight of formal logic thanks to his ability to bind together consecutive sections of his works by common motifs presented in various arrangements and instrumentations. Because of their euphonic sound qualities, Przybylski’s compositions may be considered traditional, yet they tastefully divert from tradition through microtonal upsets and cascading glissandos. Although he frequently sets out for distant musical waters, Przybylski’s excursions are never in poor taste thanks to his self-restraint. (KS)
