Composer, pianist and musicologist. A leading Polish composer of popular and film music, he writes diverse works which combine jazz and popular music with neoclassical and contemporary influences. Apart from incidental music composed for theater and television, Sławiński also writes instrumental and vocal instrumental serious pieces. (AM)
