Aleksandra Gryka

(*1977)

Composer of electroacoustic music. Her multidimensional pieces mirror a range of Gryka’s interdisciplinary inspirations, from her fascination with the universe and physics, through literature and poetry. Her knowledge of 20th century currents and composing techniques, combined with her own research on sound, enable Gryka to translate the extremities of emotional states into kaleidoscopic objects composed to musical matter. Her compositions are accompanied by neological titles – brachylogies intended to intrigue and motivate the listener to interpret them. (AM)
