Jakub Szafrański

Composer, choral conductor, trumpeter and singer. As an active choral conductor, also in his compositional activities, he concentrates on the music for a cappella choir, predominantly setting liturgical and sacred texts. He has also composed instrumental works and numerous choral transcriptions of songs, in addition to a reconstruction of Missa pro defunctis by J.A. Maklakiewicz. In his works, Szafrański regularly employs stylised elements and references to early music. (EC)
