Janusz Stalmierski

Composer, teacher. A large part of his output is devoted to vocal music (with instrumental accompaniment), for choir and solo voices, inspired by poetic texts written in different historical eras. The composer also employs larger forms, including symphonies and concertos, and he writes theatre music, too. His oeuvre is steeped in lyricism; it is characterised by tunefulness of the melodic line and clearly points to the aesthetics of Neoromanticism. (EC)
