Jarosław Drozd

(*1985)

Composer and percussionist. He specializes in interpretations of contemporary music in cooperation with a number of ensembles. Drozd’s oeuvre includes pieces for percussion and chamber works featuring electronics. The musical language of his pieces, whose titles are often poetic and slightly fatalistic, displays clear references to the achievements of the second avant-garde, as well as Drozd’s ongoing search for sound. He also conducts research on stochastic music in the light of psychophysiology. (EC)
