Jarosław Mamczarski

(*1974)

Composer, improviser, producer and pedagogue. Mamczarski’s oeuvre is imbued with electronic media, which he uses in processing acoustic music and generating synthetic sounds. He frequently partakes in multi- and inter-media projects, using the computer to generate harmonic structure based on algorithms and processual activities to come up with musical grammar alternative to the major-minor system. At the same time, Mamczaski also caters to the subjective layer of his works, anchoring his melodics in traditional and archaizing elements. (KS)
