Jarosław Siwiński

(*1964)

Composer, pianist; studied with Władysław Kotoński. Siwiński’s music is characteristically open to new sound and formal qualities – he writes music for unconventional sets of performers, experiments with silence and chance, and introduces the youngest listeners and performers to the world of contemporary music. Apart from chamber, symphonic and electroacoustic works, Siwiński has also composed incidental music to documentaries, animations, computer games and theater performances. (AM)
