Juliusz Łuciuk

(*1927)

Composer. His current activity includes primarily vocal music, above all religious works. Before turning to sacral music, Łuciuk also composed experimental works, in particular delving into prepared piano. His often utilitarian music requires the application of singsong melodics and simplified textures. Despite using classical models, Łuciuk frequently transgresses them by introducing surprising disonances and sonorous effects. (KS)
