Krzesimir Dębski
(*1953)
Composer, jazz violinist, conductor and arranger. Until the 1980s, Dębski pursued a concert career, among others as the leader of the String Connection jazz ensemble. He then turned towards composing. He has made a name for himself as the author of incidental music to films and theater performances, as well as popular songs. Apart from these, Dębski also composes what he refers to as “serious” music, i.e. chamber and orchestral works, concertos for numerous instruments, all deeply rooted in the European and jazz traditions.
