Krzysztof Wołek
Composer, improviser, multimedia artist, pedagogue. An author of both instrumental and electroacoustic music, Wołek also creates audiovisual installations and interdisciplinary projects. Vital to his oeuvre is the spatial dimension of music and the relativity of time, which he uses to manipulate the audiences’ perception while at the same time paying the utmost attention to formal details. Rooted in individual timbre experiments and utilizing latest technologies, the sound of Wołek’s compositions refers to European modernist music, although its inspirations also extend towards other domains of the arts, including dance.
