Marcin Łukaszewski

Pianist, music theorist, composer. As a performer, he is interested in the interpretation of contemporary music. He has written and edited a number of scholarly and popular science books devoted chiefly to the Polish piano and sacred music of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. His own compositions are equally dominated by keyboard instruments. He also writes chamber and educational pieces. A special place in his output is taken up by religious choral works a cappella, which hark back to ancient genres and techniques of composition. (EC)
