Marek Pasieczny

Guitarist and composer. As a performer and composer, he strives to continue and develop the tradition of 20th century guitar music. Pasieczny spends a lot of time on tour, using the places he visits as impulses for new pieces. Particularly important to Pasieczny has been the meeting with the culture of Japan and the oeuvre of Tōru Takemitsu, as well as that of Arvo Pärt. Marek Pasieczny’s music is spacious, profoundly spiritual and meditative. (KS)
