Marek Sewen
Composer, conductor, arranger and violist. Spanning over sixty years, his artistic activity has included concerts and organizational initiatives – Sewen is the founder of numerous music ensembles. Although he is particularly notable for popular hits performed, among others, by Irena Santor and Anna German, his rich oeuvre extends nearly all genres, from solo miniatures through symphonic vocal and instrumental works. Both formally (symphonies, concerti), as well as musically, Sewen’s output belongs to the neoclassical current, even though he does not eschew more avant-garde solutions. (EC)
