Michał Moc

(*1977)

Composer, accordionist and pedagogue. His music is woven of dense, fine-grained textures which he constructs based on short thematic loops. This complex structure constitutes a mere foundation for his music, which is surprisingly energetic and churns with emotions. To emphasize the expressive aspect of his works more pointedly, Moc eagerly turns to extended instrument playing techniques, as well as atypical tones, in particular those of the accordion, an instrument he plays himself.
