Michał Ossowski

Composer. In his work he utilizes a range of algorithmic operations of various degree of complexity. Ossowski also utilizes electronic media, although even then he attempts to imitate the sound of acoustic instruments. Ossowski’s musical language is characteristically aphoristic – even his larger works are composed of short, mutually contrasting segments. Aside from autonomous music, Ossowski also writes for theater, sustaining some of the best traditions of Polish theater and animation, and drawing nearer to the neoclassicist aesthetics. (KS)
