Mikołaj Laskowski

(*1988)

Representative of the youngest generation of Polish composers. His approach is typified by experimental boldness, openness to new experience, and an eagerness to transcend boundaries. His music is characteristically unpredictable and surprising. Laskowski’s satisfies his craving to explore the raw sound matter by creatively drawing from the legacy of sonorism and concrete music. He writes electroacoustic music employing an extensive range of performing techniques and improvisation. (AM)
