Piotr Orliński
(*1976)
Composer, clarinetist, pianist and pedagogue. His oeuvre is largely inspired by the heritage of John Paul II, to whom Orliński has devoted several of his works, some of which he composed to the texts written by the Polish pope. Orliński’s pieces often refer to the musical past and a variety of genres. Still, he also utilizes electronically processed sounds and turns to improvisation, combining the traditional with the contemporary. (KS)
