Piotr Wojtasik

Jazz trumpeter, composer, teacher. He appears in concert and records with numerous artists from Poland and abroad, and he is also a bandleader of a number of jazz ensembles. The artist is still developing his own individual style, which is strongly rooted in the traditional American jazz. He vacillates between classical and free jazz, differentiating the character of his successive productions: some of them are highly expressive, diverging from simple tonality, whereas the others are lyrical and nostalgic.
