Przemysław Scheller
Composer. Interested in ethnic instruments, e.g. didgeridoo, which he plays and sometimes incorporates into his works, Scheller writes instrumental and electronic music. Inspired by literature, including popular science, he deliberates on the functioning of the human brain. Frequently supplied with programmatic titles, Scheller’s pieces tackle philosophical and theological questions, referring to such sources as the Bible. His musical idiom is often based on static, slowly changing consonances. (EC)
