Rafał Augustyn

(*1951)

Composer, music critic and animator. He holds a DLitt in Polish and teaches at the University of Wrocław. Although he belongs to Generation ’51 as a composer, his music escapes labels and has undergone numerous transformations. Augustyn’s oeuvre includes both emotionally-charged large compositions and short forms, which he approaches with distance and humor. (EC)
