Composer. He writes chamber, choral and symphonic works, and is particularly fond of great traditional forms, such as the tone poem, concerto and sonata. His compositions often feature virtuoso writing, which gives them a highly emotional character and monumental sound. The composer’s musical language is typified by the neoromantic style, whereas the harmonics he employs are mostly based on extended tonality. (EC)
