Roxanna Panufnik

Roxanna Panufnik

(*1978)

British composer of Polish descent. Her musical language simultaneously combines major and minor harmonies. Still, when composing Panufnik follows emotions and intuition rather than mathematical formulas. She often ponders over the issues of faith and spiritual love. Citing traditional religious songs or folk melodies from various corners of the world, Panufnik blends contemporary music with world music. (KS)
