Szymon Godziemba-Trytek

(*1988)

Composer and music theoretician, author of choral works, large-scale instrumental forms, and chamber and solo pieces.  Trytek is a proponent of a philosophical approach to composition, in which the modern is founded on the preceding values. He explores music to search for the timeless, employing the expressive potential of Polish folklore and translating folk formulas into his own musical language. (AM)
