Bartek Pałyga

Multiinstrumentalist and composer. Active chiefly in the field of ethnic music, Pałyga plays over a dozen traditional instruments from around the world, specializes in Far-Eastern guttural song (chöömej), incorporating them into Polish folk and pop music. Pałyga regularly performs with eminent artists and ensembles, and holds master classes and educational broadcasts. An avid improviser, he strives to expand the sound capacities of traditional instruments. (EC)
