Dai Bo

Chinese composer and pianist. He writes for a variety of instrumental line-ups. The personal, almost introvert, musical language of his compositions is characterised by atonality and the search for new consonances and stark contrasts. The artist refers to the listeners’ internal and individual experiences, but also draws on the traditional Chinese culture and even on the Polish literature and music. (EC)
