Edward Sielicki
(*1956)
Composer; studied with Andrzej Dobrowolski and Włodzimierz Kotoński. Sielicki’s oeuvre is a synthesis of modernity and respect for tradition, which assumes forms ranging from variations on the themes of master composers through pastiche, the grotesque and subtle allusions fused with contemporary electronic sound tissues. Sielicki has composed solo, vocal and instrumental pieces, as well as choral and symphonic works while also delving into electroacoustic music featuring tape recordings. (AM)
