Jerzy Bauer

Jerzy Bauer

Composer, music theorist, conductor, teacher. This experienced artist’s compositional style has undergone a number of transformations throughout his long career – from the initial interest in sonorism and experiments with extended techniques to later references to musical traditions, including works written by the early twentieth-century composers, earlier eras and even folk music. The artist is particularly sensitive to such phenomena as musical form, perception, truth and sacredness in music. (EC)
