Kamil Pawłowski
(*1986)
Composer, contrabassist and pedagogue. He has written concert music and incidental music for theater. Vital to Pawłowski’s oeuvre is the harmonic component, as well as his attachment to chords of traditional third and fourth structure, although his music goes far beyond the major-minor tonality. Pawłowski deftly moves between various styles as both artist and composer, easily weaving his way through traditional and contemporary traditions. His compositions are not devoid of a sense of humor, as he often writes with tongue in cheek, as suggested by the title of one of his pieces. (KS)
