Katarzyna Taborowska-Kaszuba

(*1974)

Composer and violinist. Chiefly interested in electronic media, instrumental sound processing, and audiovisual combinations, Kaszuba’s search for new sounds can be traced back to spectral analysis. Still, Kaszuba does not shun lyricism as her pieces include numerous allusions to citations and suggestions of melodic lines. The dense textures and intense expression of her music help her naturally combine a postmodern approach with modernist sound language. (KS)
