Krzysztof Baculewski

(*1950)

Composer, music critic and pedagogue. Baculewski sees his compositions as a seemingly impossible combination of “traditional” and “unconventional” sounds, injecting the stylistics of early music with contemporary composing techniques. He often turns to classical or baroque forms and early instruments. Baculewski collaborates with vocal ensemble “Camerata Silesia” and early music ensemble “Il Tempo”. He is the author of numerous publications, including two books on Polish contemporary music. (EC)
