Maciej Żółtowski

Composer and conductor. His oeuvre combines various styles, from the musical tradition and aesthetics of later Romanticism through experiments with new sounds. Żółtowski frequently utilizes early music forms, such as the passacaglia, the madrigal or the intermezzi. He writes for diverse casts, from solo works, atypical chamber ensembles which sometimes use ethnic instruments, a cappella choirs, through full-scale symphony orchestras. (EC)
