Renāte Stivriņa

Latvian composer, pianist and organist. She specialises in choral compositions, although she has also written organ, orchestral and electronic music, as well as soundtracks for documentary and animated films. Both her vocal and instrumental works draw on sacred subjects and are stylistically based on the traditional sacred music. She also draws her compositional inspiration from paintings. (EC)
