Wojciech Blecharz
(*1981)
Composer, oboist, holder of PhD in composition (University of California, San Diego), curator of the “Instalakcje” festival. Unfailingly founded on thoroughly considered concepts, Blecharz’s compositions tend to be emotionally charged, openly expressing his own stance towards life (which stems largely from his interest in Eastern philosophy), as well as his personal experience and traumas, and the continuous reformulations of his identity. The universal sound of Blecharz’s music, which completely abandons the twelve-tone technique, has been attained through his detailed research on instrumental capacities and their atypical combinations, as well as specific utilization of texts, frequently bound together by a motoric rhytmic.
