Zbigniew Bujarski

(*1933, +2018)

Composer and painter who keeps his works confined to their respective fields; long-standing professor at the Academy of Music in Cracow. Bujarski’s rich oeuvre spans solo, orchestral, and chamber works, with particular emphasis placed on string quartets. Bujarski’s style has evolved from early experiments with sonorism through subtle sound which turns towards modality but retains a highly individual and intimate character. (EC)
